I want to serve as your Congressperson.

I’ve lived in the 49th District for over 25 years, raised my family, and started two successful, local businesses which brought me into contact with people all over the region. Most of our residents, be they Republican, Democrat or Independent, can agree on the big issues.

We all want a Federal government that can solve America’s big problems in a common sense way that strengthens and expands the middle class. Voters are frustrated with the gridlock in Washington and they wonder why politicians can't just work together.

I share their frustration.

I believe Congress has failed because there is an unwillingness to put aside partisan politics. This has led to a government shutdown and continuing threats to default on the national debt. This is no way to govern, and it is very harmful to business confidence and job creation. As a result, too many Americans are giving up on politics.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

With new leadership, we can solve our problems and strengthen and expand the middle class. A Congress with more pragmatists and fewer ideologues will be better for America.
